Welcome!
West
View Farm was established in 2002 in the beautiful Applegate Valley of
Southern Oregon.
Its goal was to develop the ultimate performance horse in Dressage,
Jumping and Eventing. In pursuit of this goal it became apparent these disciplines
were not restricted to the typical warmbloods that have dominated these
sports for many years.
Many
of the more common breeds have shown the necessary athletic ability,
stamina and temperament required to excel. In more recent years, this is
displayed with the entry of the Quarter Horse, the Morgan, the Paint
Horse and several other more commonly known “American” breeds into the
Dressage and Eventing sport. These breeds are becoming more and more
recognized by, the United States Dressage Federation (USDF) and the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) as worthy, competitors.

Although West View Farm has been involved with many of these "American" breeds, and recognizing they are strong competitors with a winning future, it does have preference for the Warmblood,
particularly the Swedish Warmblood. Its long history in the
competitive arena, its size, responsiveness, ability, conformation
athleticism, and work ethic make it a farm favorite.
More information on the Swedish Breed can be obtained from the Swedish
Warmblood Association Of North America (SWANA) at
